Venetian
was lace made with a needle from the 16th to the 19th century. Early examples were deep, acute-angled points, each worked separately and linked together by a narrow band, or footing, stitched with buttonholing. These points were used in ruffs and collars in the 16th and 17th centuries

Design Specifications

Directions

I used 2 layers of Vilene, pulled as tight as drum weaves going different directions
number 12 schmetz universal needle or size 80,
this is important as the design is dense and needs the smaller needle
40 weight Madeira Rayon thread top and serger cone thread in the bobbin for softness and stability, or Rayon

Sew out slowly, this is delicate but a heavy design and speed makes waste,
and each one in a single hoop for best results..
